About Abanindranath Tagore
Abanindranath Tagore was an Indian writer and the main artist and creator of the Indian society of Oriental Art. A prominent artist, he was also a writer and wrote mainly for children. He is best remembered in Bengali literature circles for his books Rajkahini, Budo Angla, Nalak, and Khirer Putul.

The nephew of the illustrious Rabindranath Tagore, Abanindranath Tagore was admired by many and popularly called Aban Thakur.

About Manoshi Bhattacharya
This edition has been translated by Manoshi Bhattacharya. Ms. Bhattacharya is an Indian physician who worked in the Indian Navy. She has also written: The Royal Rajputs: Strange Tales and Stranger Truths, Chittagong Summer of 1930, Charting the Deep and Chittagong: Eye of the Tiger.

A graduate of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Mrs. Bhattacharya used her experience at the Indian Navy to research the history of the geographers and the map-makers of the Indian waters from the days of the Indus Valley Civilization to the year 2004, drawing inspiration for her first book in the process.
