Mr. K. M. M. Abdul Kader (74) is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. Prior to joining bar he was a journalist. He was in the Trade Union movement also. As journalist he served both in Calcutta and Dhaka newspapers. He was the founder News Editor of the Daily Ittefaq as well as the Daily New Nation. He was also founder News Editor-In-charge of the Pakistan Observer. While in Trade Union movement he was General Secretary of the then East Pakistan Federation of Labour and was appointed Member of the then Industrial Court of East Pakistan presided over by Justice M. Akram, the erstwhile Chief Justice of the then Dhaka High Court. He was invited by the All China Federation of Trade Unions in 1956 to observe celebration of May Day in Peking. He joined the then Dhaka High Court Bar in 1968.
