ক্যাপ্ট. সালাহ উদ্দিন মাহমুদ

The author Capt. Salah Uddin Mahmood was educated at Nasirabad Govt. Boys High School and passed SSC on 1991 and HSC from Chittagong College on 1993 and then admitted in Bangladesh Marine Academy (30th Batch) and passed out on 1995 with BMS degree under National University. The author initially joined to BSC vessels as trainee cadet and got command as Master on foreign flag vessel on 2008. He also served Bangladesh flag vessels of Akij Shipping Ltd and Brave Royal Ship Management as Master. Most importantly he has served all types of vessel (tanker, container and bulk carrier) which trading all over the world. In the years between 2014 to 2017 he was the Nautical Instructor and became Head of Nautical Studies in United Maritime Academy, Dhaka. His major works were to develop and prepare the curriculum and course module of HNC/HND program of SQA (Scottish Qualification Authority) and also course module of prepara- tory course of Class-III and Class -II & I (deck) in accordance with IMO model course 7.01 and 7.03 (STCW 2010).
