ড. কামাল উদ্দিন আহমেদ

The author, Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed is a former Professor and Chairperson, Department of Political Science, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He also worked as a Senate Fellow in the California State Senate, USA (1989) and later as a Japan Foundation Fellow (2001). As a Visiting Professor, he lectured at Yokohama National University, Japan (2002) and the University of Western Sydney, Australia.
Dr Ahmed has co-edited a book entitled Migration and Migrants in the United States (1995) and also edited a textbook entitled American Political System (in Bengali) published by the University of Dhaka (2007). He is the author of the book, State of Human Rights in Japan in the New Millennium (2008) and Bangladesh and Its Neighbours (Asiatic Society of Bangladesh, 2008). He has also published more than 40 research papers in refereed journals at home and abroad.
Dr Ahmed has worked as a subject expert, question-setter and examinations paper moderator for the Bangladesh Public Service Commission for over a decade. He had the privilege to work as a Member of the Censor Board of Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Government Cooperative Society. He is a life member of the Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA), the Asiatic Society of Bangladesh (ASB) and the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA).
