About the Author * Pradip N. Khandwalla retired from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2002 after having taught for over 30 years at various prestigious institutions including Carnegie-Mellon University and University of Pittsburgh in USA, McGill University in Canada, and RVB International Institute of Management in the Netherlands. Khandwalla obtained his Ph.D. in industrial administration from the Carnegie-Mellon University in 1970. His areas of research include organization design and development, turnaround management, creative excellence and entrepreneurial management, effective management of public enterprises and other strategic organizations, innovations in government, and corporate greatness. A recipient of Ford Foundation Doctoral Fellowship, Khandwalla has authored many books including award-winning Turnaround Excellence: Insights from 120 Cases and Lifelong Creativity?An Unending Quest. He has also published over 100 papers in leading journals and periodicals like Academy of Management Journal (US), Asia Pacific Journal of Management (US), Creativity Research Journal (US), International Studies of Management and Organization (US), Indian Journal of Industrial Relations (India), Indian Journal of Social Science (India), Journal of Business Administration (Canada), Journal of Euro-Asian Management (Thailand), and Journal of Management Studies (UK). Currently an independent management consultant, Khandwalla serves on the boards of several corporations, including Bank of Baroda, Gujarat Gas, Micro Inks and Grow Talent.
