Hall works as an instructor of Java and Web Programming at Johns Hopkins University.

Larry Brown works in the U.S Navy Research and Development laboratory’s Network and Systems division. Apart from this book, he has contributed to various editions of the book Core Web Programming. Brown is also a Sun-certified Java programmer for the Java 2 platform.
