When Zubaan first approached me nearly three years ago to edit this anthology, I was both thrilled and apprehensive. The idea of having a collection of new writing from Bangladesh on Indian and international bookshelves was immensely appealing.
The time commitment it involved-especially the time taken away from my own writing-was rather less so. The problem for me was that I wanted to contribute to the anthology, not to actually be responsible for editing it! And I said as much.
