Now she is preparing to vacate it. She is dying. Most of us approach death reluctantly. Personally, I will face it screaming and with thrashing limbs. Andrea Fink proceeds towards it like an operatic diva might approach her final performance.
It is to be a charity event. She has given everything away. The room into which I enter is utterly bare, save for her hospital bed.
