Writing for him was a way of communicating with his private self. His short stories have an urban setting, and deal with the problems of isolation and loneliness that often lead to a rejection of the material world around us. The stories are about young people who endure a life of stress that results in frictions. Sex and drinking bring momentary relief, but Munawar searches for more enduring solutions. These solutions are offered, unsurprisingly, by his poems. Professor Syed Manzoorul Islam Munawar Muhib Sarker Anik Father : Dr. Abu Elias Sarker Mother : Dina Laila Popy Date of Birth: 16 September 1994 Date of Death : 29 September 2018 Born at Central Road, Dhaka. On 29th September, 2018 the world lost a very promising, meritorious Bangladeshi young man, Munawar Muhib Sarker Anik, as he fell from the highest point of the steep rock face beside the Cliff bridge of Clifton, south to Sydney. Munawar was not only a meritorious student and an engineer but also full of vigour and energy with a kind heart. These qualities showed in his quick perception and decision making power and his ability to translate his ideas into action. The collection of unpublished literary works he has left behind also show the quality of his imagination and his passion for life. Here is a brief homage to the memory of Munawar.
