Dr. Nasim Banu is a Professor in the Department of Public Administration at Islamic University, Kushtia. She holds Master of Social Sciences degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka, an additional Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). She earned Ph.D degree for her thesis on Monitoring and Evaluation system in Bangladesh. She has been in teaching for about 30 years with wide range research experience in the field of Social Sciences. She held the position of Chairperson in the Department of Politics and Public Administration; Editor, Journal of the Islamic University Studies. Presently she is holding the position of Chairperson in the Department of Development Studies and Dean, faculty of Social Sciences. She is the Convenor, Eve Teasing Prevention and Protection Committee at Islamic University. The author has contributed with her writing to Banglapedia, published by Asiatic Society, Dhaka; and Global Encyclopaedia of Public Administration, published by Springer Publications, India. She has extensive experience in research in the field of implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects, public policy and disaster management. She has published over 30 research articles in reputed journal of home and abroad.
