The mosque of DARASBARI is situated in the extreme corner of the northern part of the country, near the Kotowali border (Sonamasjid border), Shibgonj, Chapainawabgonj, Rajshahi. Locally the mosque is known to all as the 'mosque of silence'. No one goes for prayers today, however few people are enthusing to visit the dilapidated but magnificent mosque. Eventually, people are not mindful about the ruins of DARASBARI. A run-down mosque is uninhabited for the last centuries. Western wall renovation was executed in 1924; another partial renovation was performed during 90s. Roof of the mosque was heavily damaged by the earthquake of 1897. In course of time the mosque will be disappeared. DARASBARI mosque is the only structure founded right by Sultan Nusrat Shah in 1479 AD. With this very note, this book is an attempt to showcase the glory and the magnificent craftsmanship of the ruins through diary sketches. Diary sketches help to connect readers directly with the issues. All the sketches in this book were drawn by the author in the site and most of the analysis were acknowledged and documented at the site as well.
