The appearance of the stars in the sky is a wonder of our world. If the stars never sparked surely this world would have been a place of misery. What is above like the sky and the countless numbers of stars has shaped our thinking in a very profound way. The stories of the unknown are no less fascinating than that we know.
Rightly, by connecting to the world beyond us, we truly enrich our lives. The struggles we have are both of being alive and living the life. The path that has brought humanity to the present day is astonishing. We can so proudly look back at the achievements though failures have been catastrophic too. Our existence has been threatened in many ways. Yet at no stage was our resolve in complete disarray. Torn by conflicts, wars, bloodshed or barbarity never did this journey came to a halt. The world that bears us always gives the space to heal, rebuild and progress.
Rising from a century of human carnage on the one hand and unparalleled knowledge on the other my love for life in this world is more than any other. In this book of poetry called Starlake I intent to bring understanding to the beauty that surrounds us.
