Foreign language especially English is highly essential for us as it has been a lingua franca across the world. As it has been a common language, we put effort to learn it so that we don't lag behind in competition. Most of the students whose medium of instruction is Bengali from class one to twelve have some sort of fear about English language. It is needless to say that many students and professionals have tendency to withdraw themselves when the question of English comes in fear of being exposed. I got opportunity to teach some students and professionals whose problems were deep rooted. I'm telling their problems were deep rooted because they didn't know even the correct use of do, does, am, is, are, was, were, have, has, had and so on. I tried to make them understand the aforesaid basic terms following different grammatical rules, but failed to bring expected result in the specified time. This failure gave me much pain as I was their trainer, and it was my responsibility to make them understand. To come out from this disgrace I conducted a research work taking some students who were very weak in English and had study break for a few years. I found about ninety five percent students of that category who faced almost similar problems. I sorted out their problems and preparedlessons for them. Those lessons greatly helped them understand English language. Then I decided to publish a book with those lessons so that a large number of Bangladeshi learners can be benefited. The book named How to Learn Practical Spoken English has been designed for beginners (learners who have problems in basic). Moreover, to develop fluency we have added a selected topic in each and every lesson of this book. Besides, questions on various issues and their answers have also been included to get thorough knowledge on developing speaking skill. Moreover, a problem set and its solution have been added at the end of each lesson to give thorough knowledge on that particular topic. Finally, the effort I've employed while writing the book will be fruitful if and only if this book can bring a little benefit for persistent readers. I'm grateful to those who helped me directly or indirectly in preparing this book. There may have some errors though I haven't done any stone unturned to make the book error free on my behalf. I do believe the scope for improvement is always there. I'll be looking forward to receiving suggestions for further enriching the quality of the book.
