About the Author B. Umadethan is currently Professor and Head Department of Forensic Medicine. College of Medicine Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre Kochi Kerala. Earlier he has been Professor and Head Department of Forensic Medicine In the Medical Colleges of Trivandrum Alappuzha and Thrissur and has functioned as Police Surgeon of the respective districts. He was. The Director. State Medico legal Institute Trivandrum and the state Medico legal Expert and Consultant. He has also served as the Medico legal Adviser to Kerala Police and guest faculty at the Police Training College. Briefly he has also worked as the Medico legal Consultant in Libya.
