About The Authors
Alison Grant is a well-known physiologist and author. Grant holds a Bachelor’s degree from Glasgow University in Pharmacology. In the year 1989, she obtained a Doctoral degree from Strathclyde University. After finishing her degrees, she held the position of a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Dermatology at Glasgow University. Grant currently works as a lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University, teaching Physiology. She is the programme leader for a course on the subject of Human Biology with Psychology and Sociology. When she’s not writing books and lecturing, Grant enjoys music, gardening, and walking.

Anne Waugh is a lecturer and author. The other book written by her is Foundations of Nursing Practice: Fundamentals of Holistic Care. Waugh completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, and followed that with an MSc degree in Nursing Education. She also holds a certificate in Education. Waugh is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Prior to becoming a lecturer, Waugh served as a charge nurse and staff nurse. She currently holds the position of the School Director of Academic Quality, and is the Senior Teaching Fellow in the Faculty of Health, Life
