About the Author O. P. Kharbanda BDS (Lucknow), MDS (Lucknow), M Orth RCS (Edinburgh), M MEd (Dundee), FAMS, is Head, Division of Orthodontics and Deferential Deformities, Center for Dental Education and Research at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He has more than 30 years of clinical, teaching and research experience in India and abroad. He has been a visiting Professor to University of Sydney, Australia and University of Connecticut, USA. He has authored more than 100 research publications, book chapters, manuals, and is the recipient of academic and research awards. He has served/serves international editorial board and peer review board of major orthodontic journals of world repute. He serves on various national organizations such as Ministry of Health, Dental Council of India, Indian Council of Medical Research and Dept of Biotechnology to name a few. He is past President of the Indian Orthodontic Society (2008-09) and past President of Indian Association of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies (2009-10).Currently, he is the Vice President of the Indian Society of Dental Research, Chair scientific 26th Conference of Indian Society for Dental Research and Co-Chair 8th Asian Pacific Orthodontic Conference.
