The first phase probes the readers’ mind with the concept of investing, whether the reader is ready to be an investor, and the various aspects of it. The first phase culminates with the 90/10 riddle, why 90 per cent of wealth lies with 10 per cent of people.

Phase 2 takes the reader to the next stage of decision making, beginning with solving the 90/10 riddle. Essentially a person new to investing would need convincing and have doubts in various areas. With a book like Rich Dad’s Guide To Investing, the trial-and-error phase is minimized, if not nullified. Phase 2 discusses the different types of investors by classifying them into Accredited, Qualified, Sophisticated, Inside and Ultimate investors and guides the reader to identifying the type he/she belongs to. Phase 3 teaches the reader the nuances of building a strong business and Phase 4 discusses the characteristics and behavior of a sophisticated investor. Phase 5 is about giving back to the society.

Robert T. Kiyosaki writes self-help books, is a businessman, investor and is also a financial commentator and motivational speaker.
His most popular book is Rich Dad Poor Dad. Kiyosaki has written more than 15 books like Rich Kid Smart Kid and Rich Dad’s CASHFLOW Quadrant, An Unfair Advantage: The Power of Financial Education and The Business School for People Who Like Helping People. Rich Dad has become a brand under which many CDs and materials have been published. Kiyosaki has his own blog and a monthly column in Yahoo Finance.

Most of his books revolve around the idea of creating passive income through intelligent and smart investment, vis-a-vis creating income through a job or earning a regular paycheck. According to Kiyosaki, one should work to create assets such as rental properties, stock dividends and businesses, which create a continuous flow of incoming money to nullify the effects of outgoing liabilities such as regular expenditure, cars, houses, and vacations.

Kiyosaki was born in 1947. His investments include real estate, a company that deals with solar energy and precious metal coins. He is married to Kim, who is also an author and investor.
