মোহাম্মদ ওমর ফারুক

Muhammad Omor Faruq was born at village Samserabad in Lakshmipur Sadar District. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts (honors) and Master of Arts degrees from the Department of Islamic History and Culture, University of Dhaka and achieved First Class First distinction in M A in 1999 and 2000 CE respectively. Before that he stood 10th position in the combined merit list is the Alim examination (1996). Mr. Faruq started his professional carrier as a researcher at AMAN in 2002 and joined as a Faculty in the Asian University of Bangladesh in 2003. In the year 2004, he then joined at the Department of Islamic History and Culture of Dhaka University as a Lecturer, now he is Assistant Professor. He has contributed over sixteen research articles published in various journals and visited a number of countries for religious and academic purposes. His interested field of research is Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) and topics related to Islam & modern Muslim worlds. Currently, he is a PhD fellow and an Assistant Professor in the same department.
