আমিনুল ইসলাম

Aminul Islam was born in a respectable family of a village at Laksham Upazila of Comilla. He started his education at the village primary school. 1947 onward, he continued his schooling in Dhaka. He attended Dhaka College and the University of Dhaka and graduated with Honours in Geography in 1959. For MPA, he went to the Institute of Public and Business Administration at Karachi. In 1962, he joined Lever Brothers Pakistan Limited (Now Unilever Pakistan) as a Management Trainee. In 1969, he was transferred, for two years, as the Sales Manager of the then East Pakistan. But his transfer back to Karachi was interrupted by the War of Independence. In 1973, he was promoted as the Marketing Manager of Unilever Bangladesh. He also acted as an Alternate Director of the Company. He resigned from his job in 1985 for various reasons. Later on, he acted occasionally as a Marketing and Management Consultant. While in service, he visited eight different countries in the West and the East for Professional Conferences and Seminars and attachments with those Country Operations. He is married to Nishat Amin and is blessed with two daughters and a son, and seven grand-children. He takes keen interest in the current national problems of myriad types and nature. He enjoys thinking "Outside the Box" about most of these problems, the outcome of which is this book.
