It is antiparasitic, tonic, antispasmodic and nervine tonic. Harataki is used in the treatment of constipation, nervous debility, lethargy and overweight. Let's know some more benefits of Hartaki- 1. Haritaki fruit is consumed in heart disease, indigestion, dysentery, jaundice and menstrual pain. 2. The juice of the fruit is also particularly beneficial in fever, cough, asthma, flatulence, belching, enlarged liver and spleen, rheumatism and urinary tract diseases. 3. The raw fruit acts as a laxative. 4. Haritaki is widely used by modern herbalists for pneumonia and bronchial diseases. Haritaki is very effective in cough and shortness of breath. 5. Besides, Haritaki is also used to quench frequent water thirst or nausea. 6. Syrup of equal amount of Triphala i.e. Amlaki, Haritaki and Bahera powder is a great medicine to reduce cholesterol i.e. pressure or blood pressure. According to a group of pharmaceutical researchers, triphala is more effective in lowering cholesterol than any modern allopathic medicine. 7. Hemorrhagic disease can be cured by taking 3 to 5 grams of ground haritaki powder mixed with ghol and a little salt. 8. Haritaki powder mixed with sugarcane molasses in Raktarsha gives benefits within a few days. 9. In case of eye disease, strain Haritaki and soak it in water and wash the eyes with that water. 10. Haritaki powder should be consumed with a little ghee in pitta pain. 11. If the tone of the throat is depressed, mutha and haritaki are mixed with crushed honey or taken with yawan, the tone becomes normal.
