I always was interested to kind out the root cause of creation of Bangladesh with nearly ninety percent Muslims as a country for the Bengali speaking people of the Indian sub-continent. খালেদা মনযুর-এ-খুদার জন্য সংস্কৃতিতে অত্যন্ত সম্পন্ন এক পরিবারে। তার মাতা বাংলার প্রথম মুসলমান, ঔপন্যাসিকা বেগম নুরুন্নেসা খাতুন বিদ্যা বিনােদিনী আর পিতা আইনজীবি মৌলভী কাজি গােলাম মােহাম্মদ। লেখিকার আদিবাস, চব্বিশ পরগনার কাজী পাড়া, সেখানে তার ঐতিহ্যবাহী পূর্ব পুরুষেরা বংশানুক্রমে বসবাস করেছেন। সাহিত্য রচনার ক্ষেত্রে লেখিকার প্রবেশ। ছােট গল্প সৃষ্টির পথ ধরে, পদচারণা শিক্ষা সমাজ সম্বন্ধীয় প্রবন্ধ রচনার মধ্যে দিয়ে এবং বর্তমানে তিনি উপন্যাস আখ্যান ' রচনায় নিবেদিত। ঢাকার দর্শনশাস্ত্রে পাঠ শেষ করে তিনি লণ্ডনে মনােবিজ্ঞান নিয়ে পড়াশুনা করেন। পরে ক্যানাডার মন্ট্রিলে “ধর্মের ইতিহাস ও দর্শন বিষয়ে উচ্চশিক্ষা লাভ এবং বাংলাদেশ সৃষ্টির পটভূমি হিসাবে ইসলাম” এই পর্যায়ে গবেষণা সমাপ্ত করেন। সমাজ ও তার নানাবিধ সমস্যা সম্পর্কে সচেতন স্পর্শ কাতরতা লেখিকাকে বহু সমাজ সেবামূলক কর্মকাণ্ডে চিরদিন ব্যাপৃত রেখেছে। তিনি “সূর্যোদয় শিশুকানন” ও “গহিনী শিল্পকলা একাডেমীর প্রতিষ্ঠাত্রী।
