Here is the book by Mr. Noor Mohammad, a resident of Chittagong and a lawyer, about his trip to Russia way back in 2006. The narrative lists in greater detail the sites visited and the encounters with people of different walks of life. The historic background of the places of interests including the two capital cities and their architectural landmarks may help the reader to fully appreciate the account of the trip. The quest for details reveals the inquisitive mind of the writer. Some observations made in the book may certainly be attributed to the flight of fancy of the local guides but that is an inevitable trap for every tourist. Bucolic scenery of Russia also finds a proper place in the book. The \\\"country-house\\\" culture which gained so much popularity in Russia in recent years is very objectively reflected in the reminiscences of the author. ...
