ড. মাহফুজুর রহমান

Dr Mahfuzur Rahman was born in a respectable Muslim family in 1961 at Rajshahi. His home district is Jhenidah. He spent most of the time of his childhood in his home district Jhenidah where as he was an ex-cadet from Jhenidah Cadet College. By profession he is a senior military officer. His profound passion towards academia developed the thirst for knowledge over time. His field of interest is security and regional development. He was graduated from National Defence College, New Delhi and Royal College of Defence Studies, London. He has done his Masters in Defence and War Studies from National University. He has also done Master in Business Administration. He has done MPhil from Madras University on Defence and Security Studies. He has also completed his PhD from Jahangirnagar University on Non- Traditional Security Strategy. He has edited a book on 'Indo-Bangladesh Trade Relations' and his 2nd book on Non-Traditional Security Strategy for Addressing Trans-border Crime in Bangladesh titled 'A Study on Drug Proliferation in Bangladesh' is on drug issues taking place in boarder areas. He has visited a number of countries around the world including Palestine and Israel. He is married to Begum Shahnaz Ahmed blessed with a son Muhtasim Mahfuz. He enjoys reading and talking to young mind.
