QC, is Professor of Law at University College London and a Barrister at Matrix Chambers. He authored many books, including Principles of International Environmental Law (3rd edn., Cambridge University Press, 2012), Lawless World (Penguin, 2005) and Torture Team (Penguin, 2008).
