About Robin Sharma Robin Sharma is a former lawyer, bestselling author, motivational speaker, and leadership guru. He has authored books such as The Saint, the Surfer, and the CEO, and The Leader Who Had No Title. He was born in 1964 and went on to study at Dalhousie University School of Law. While he is of Indian descent, he is also a Canadian citizen. He had a successful law career and has worked as judicial law clerk and staff litigation attorney. His books have made it to several bestseller lists and sold millions of copies globally. Toastmasters International has honoured him with the Golden Gavel award.
Formerly a litigation lawyer, he walked away from his legal career at age 25 due to dissatisfaction with his life, and self-published MegaLiving, a guide to stress management which incorporated both western and eastern spirituality techniques. He initially also self-published The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, which was then picked up for wider distribution by HarperCollins and became a Canadian and international bestseller.
